Our Services

Baby Naming Ceremonies

A naming ceremony symbolises the emotional and spiritual commitment made by family and friends to a child that spans the scope of their lives.

Parents and Godparents make a pledge and vow of love, support, guidance, and protection to the child throughout life’s journey.

Naming Ceremonies generally include the following components:

  • Welcome baby, a bit about the journey thus far.
  • Reading.
  • Acknowledgement of the role parents play in families.
  • Formally introduce the child to friends and family.
  • Parents talk about what it is that they wish for their child, this is often done in the form of a poem.
  • Announcement of who the Godparents will be.
  • Godparents make their promises to the child, this is also often done in the form of a poem.
  • Blessing.
  • Toasting and close.

Wedding Ceremonies

Personalise your wedding so that it reflects you and your partner. Like I say, your wedding done your way.  Your wedding and your reception should be a reflection of you and your partner, from the colours and themes that you choose for your ceremony right through to the dessert that you eat.

Together we can personalise your ceremony and make it the most wonderful experience and it will be just as you want it.

Really, we can do almost anything. There are of course some mandatory components that must happen, and an order in which they occur to ensure that your nuptials are completed in accordance with “The Australian Marriage Act”. But, you don’t need to worry about that. That’s why you hire me.

When making decisions about what you would like included, just keep in mind your wedding day is in the spirit of unity, the bringing together of two families through the union of two people.

Depending on the package that you choose, your nuptials will have some or all of the following.

The order of a ceremony – what happens and when.

  • Processional – Entrance of the wedding party.
  • Welcome – Opening remarks from me.
  • Readings – Opportunity to share meaningful passages.
  • Ritual – A visual demonstration of unity.
  • My Address – A speech by me about love and marriage.
  • Declaration of Intent – Also known as the “I dos.
  • Personal Vows – Promises to one another, either handwritten or selected.
  • Official Vows – These are a mandatory component of the ceremony.
  • Exchange of Rings – Ceremonial giving of the sign of love and loyalty.
  • Blessing or Closing Remarks – Final words from me.
  • Pronouncement – Official declaration of marriage.
  • Recessional – The exit of the bride, groom, and bridal party.

Get the party started (the reception)!

Master of Ceremonies Services (MC)

As your master of ceremonies, or MC, I will ensure that your event runs according to your agenda. While I can MC any event for you, the following is typically what I would do when MC’ing a wedding reception.

  • Advise guests of the order of events for the evening prior to the arrival of the married couple.
  • Announce the arrival of the couple.
  • Introduce the speakers as and when necessary.
  • Advise of each service of food.

It is often a good idea to have someone other than a family member or friend perform the task of MC so that all of your guests can relax and enjoy your wedding reception.

MC services are charged on an hourly basis at $55 per hour.

Memorial/Celebration of Life Ceremonies

Often kept brief, these ceremonies are heartfelt and a reflection of a life lived, a tender and precious farewell.

Typically they have the following components, however, like I say, these are your ceremonies and they will be done your way.

  • Entrance – Often a slide show, a visual display of the significant moments that the family wish to celebrate.
  • Welcome – A little bit about the family and where the departed fit in that family. The role that they played and their significance in terms of the family unit. Acknowledgement of other family members and any special announcements that the family would like made.
  • First Reading – Family choose a reading, this can be whatever you would like and is most often a poem that resonates with the family when they think of the departed.
  • Eulogy – Prepared and delivered by the family.
  • Reflection – A minute of silence to reflect on the departed.
  • Advise family and friends of next steps – Cremation or burial, and where this will take place.
  • Second reading – Family to choose a reading as with the first.
  • Committal – The final resting place.
  • Music – Family to organise, and play music.
  • Closing Words

Your Celebration, Your Way.

Let me take care of the worry and stress, so you can be in the moment when it matters most!
